A hot parched summer such as no one on Krynn has ever known before. :D. I read this book about 20 years ago and haven't since, but I've been re-reading all of the core Dragonlance books and this was next after the Chronicles, Legends and Lost Chronicles trilogies. I was so upset by what happened to my beloved Dragonlance characters that I shaved my head and attacked someone's car with an umbrella. The summer will be deadly. Now it is summer. There are new characters too, but they are characters brought in through stories in other collections and still connected to the main company. Dragons of Summer Flame continues on from the previous book in the series and at the same time weaves further threads connecting them to the earlier Dragonlance books with many of the characters returning though somewhat more aged or popping over from other realms when you least expect them! Usha, child of the Irda, arrives in Palanthas claiming that she is Raistlin's daughter. This book was kind of pointless. This is a good ending to the main characters' stories. The pendulum of the world swings. They could have. I thoroughly enjoyed the. This was kind of a weird one. "[5], A reviewer for Dragon magazine said that the book "...completes the original trilogy on a resounding note. A disappointing and unmemorable add-on to the original trilogy, moving on to the next generation. I was excited by this discovery. Welcome back. They are marvelous reading and this one Dragons of Summer Flame by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman is one of the best because it ties so many of the others together for me. The War of the Lance is long over. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. A hot parched summer, such as no one on Krynn has ever known before. I believe it was publishes in '95. It made me wish that someone would make a movie out of it. The War of the Lance is long over. hi goodreads, my name is trina and i am a huge nerd. https://lexicon.dragonlancenexus.com/index.php?title=Dragons_of_Summer_Flame&oldid=31391. Margaret Weis has the ability to make me feel as if the place actually exists and that magic and dragons are quite normal :). There are Steel, Sturm and Kitiara's son; Palin, Caramon and Tika's son, Steel's cousin; and Usha, Raistlin's daughter (?). I've read this book so many times that I've lost count. Maryanne Booth reviewed Dragons of Summer Flame for Arcane magazine, rating it an 8 out of 10 overall. Lot of time has passed and many new characters with very little background information to deal from beginning, but amazingly it did not matter in this book as tempo is passable and adventures constant. The uneasy balance starts to shift. This book is so unmemorable that I may have read it before, I just don't recall.
