Page Eight is the wonderful first episode of the Worricker Triology. Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2014. Fun movie but a little confusing, the paper cupboard scene made zero sense to me. Page Eight tells the story of two 'old school gentlemen' (Michael Gambon and Bill Nighy) in MI5 who are at odds with a ruthless and manipulative Prime Minister - and the lack of ethics in modern politics. It also makes you think about working in a job where you can trust no one and everyone is trying to outsmart everyone else. Michael Gambon is the wily spy - a perfect part for him. Good movie. The plot suffers a bit from left-wing prejudice and I found the relationship between Worricker and his neighbour Nancy Pierpan ( the gorgeous Rachel Weisz)a bit vague and somewhat difficult to accept but like Tinker, Tailor I don't think anything about this story should be analysed too much. Tarantino took home the Oscar for Best Orginal Screenplay at the Academy Awards, and unsurprisingly, Christoph Waltz also won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. - Page 8 Quickly browse titles in our catalog based on the ones you have picked. "Contemporary" is a good subtitle as after you watch this you'll get a better feeling of the definition of that word. This is a very good if slightly underrated film, I didn't catch it when it was released but I am glad that I decided to purchase the DVD. ALEX BAILEY/LEGENDARY ©2020, Django Unchained (Photo by Jason Merritt/Getty Images), Starring Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington, Samuel L. Jackson. If you like teen dramas, this is the show for you! One of the kind of actors in the class of Mark Rylance. I'll not go on and on about the other fine actors but that you'll be depriving yourself if you don't buy the DVD just to enjoy how they do their as-ever excellent work. A nice beginning to the Johnny Worricker Trilogy! The most underrated part of the film that rarely gets mentioned when discussing Django Unchained is the soundtrack. A brilliant performance by Bill Nighy. Rent Masterpiece Contemporary: Page Eight (2011) starring Bill Nighy and Rachel Weisz on DVD and Blu-ray. Americans are always wielding guns like savages, as though pointing guns at people solves crimes. So, I was a little apprehensive about giving this film a go. How does he live? It's a rare treat to see something with an excellent story line, a great cast, and high quality natural production (no special effects) that is a British production. It premiered on Netflix in April, and it’s easily one of the best new Netflix shows of the year so far. More importantly, the cast is composed of some of the finest actors available and the slender, cadaverous Bill Nighy, whom I saw here for the first time looks very elegant in his black raincoat in the opening scene and impressed me with his portrayal. Some of the women come off obsessed with a single goal, so are less complicated. The series focuses on a group of four friends living on the Outer Banks, a group of islands off the coast of North Carolina. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 4, 2017. Bill Nighy is excellent as the 'good guy', the intelligence officer who is really intelligent. Enjoyable, if familiar, espionage thriller, Reviewed in the United Kingdom on June 29, 2014.
